Kriistal Ann, Toxic Razor – Paradox Obscur
It was amazing for Paradox Obscur to sign new plans together with the American independent label Metropolis Records, a circumstance that initially led them both to “Singles & Rarities” LP last March, and after that this band that swings between Athens and Berlin let out the “Inferno Remixes” on September, that particular song “Inferno” was included in their striking album “SYNΘESIS” in 2020. Now, Kriistal Ann and Toxic Razor, who are in the works for the new Paradox Obscur album that is expected in 2022, without any “firework announcement” are releasing today December 3rd new 3-track EP that is called “Voxiter”.
Is this 3-way little thunder the new Paradox Obscur from the future, or another alternative spark in their already alternative macrocosm? Anyway, “Voxiter” counts a lot whatever it hides and whatever it implies. Here the band sounds in a little different mood that somehow started in 2020 and they are the same duo with the same deep and agile approach to their dark synthesized music, only that here things are sounding like more grande synthwave music and more ‘crystal’ like passing through cold waves……like Paradox Obscur glance a little outside under the veil.
Time in the near future will show if “Voxiter” was either one unique and diamond release by all means hidden in their discography or the first step to brighter sonic fields, and maybe the twist to new adventures with synthesizers, this release shows ‘evolution’ and I am very happy for them. Paradox Obscur is a project of quality with a lot of past music that has gained such enthusiasm that places them among the most important acts in the current dark alternative electronic world scene, and maybe this “Voxiter” is the first step under another gate they are at!!!
