With Swiss clock-like precision, the otherwise not predictable DIY Italian label Stanze Fredde keeps on fueling its ‘minimal revolution’, dropping its habitual compilation, now arriving at the third volume, which, as usual, will also aid to fund the next third edition of the electrifying Stanze Fredde annual festival, which will be held next winter, on November 21st, at El Paso Occupato in Turin, with a rich line-up to be announced soon.
So buckle up for a wild ride in raw, icy, dark Stanze Fredde style, through a contemporary exploration of the most straightforward and genuine side of analogue synth-driven music, with 20 off-kilter tracks from over 10 countries, blending caustic and swirling electronics, deadpan vocals, and thought-provoking lyrics with driving dance-minded rhythmic architectures, recorded with a stripped-down employ of vintage buckled analogue synthesizers and looping drum machines.
