WL//WH Premiere: SEASONAL FALLS Take Time For “Happy Dayz”

WL//WH Premiere  Seasonal Falls

WL//WH is pleased to premiere the second single and title track, “Happy Dayz”, of the forthcoming debut album by Seasonal Falls, the recording project, started in 2023, of Switzerland-based songwriter Roman Gabriel (The Kind Hills, The Dentals), whose indie folk/pop songs are produced and further refined by Andrew Pelletier‘s emotive vocals (Fur Trader).

The tracks range between Indie-Pop, Indie-Folk and Indie-Rock and capture the band’s passion for quirky indie music in general and of the ’90s in particular. Growing up with artists like Elliott Smith, Pavement, Wilco, Teenage Fanclub, etc. has heavily influenced the sound, vocals and melodies of Seasonal Falls.

A gentle, slow burning indie track that starts off with melancholy vibes and depressing lyrics but changes into an uplifting chorus. Though the song title is sarcastic, it does not just want to draw a bleak picture of the current state of the world but declares with unwavering optimism that we are nonetheless allowed to find distractions and happiness.

“Happy Dayz” is a sad folksy number made of emotional, wistful twinkly piano melodies, poignant hypnotic acoustic guitar strums, and lonesome glistening plucks, that pierce a dull, leaden ambiance underlaid by low bass pulse and soft tinny percussions. The soft, detached angsty vocals perfectly capture the essence of the lyrics that deeply observe the dangerous amount of toxins found in the environment while escaping with beer and YouTube videos. An immersive lyric video shuffles beautiful high-definition outdoor scenes with introspective nature gazers to sync hypnotically with the message of the soundtrack.

Seasonal Falls‘ debut LP, “Happy Dayz”, is scheduled to be released on May 10, 2024.

Keep up with Seasonal Falls:
