“Into Oblivion” Single Artwork
After releasing their debut EP, “Death Beats”, and playing their songs live in Portugal‘s biggest alternative festivals like Amplifest or Monitor, the Lisbon-based Electronic duo NECRØ is going to share “Into Oblivion”, the first single and video, by Sara Inglês, from their upcoming album that will be released by Cold Transmission Music later in 2024, WL//WH is very pleased to premiere.
NECRØ originates from the occult alchemy between musician João Vairinhos (LÖBO, Wildnorthe) and chanteuse/keyboard player Sara Inglês (Wildnorthe), to frame a moody and emotionally involving Dark Synth Wave sound replete with intensity and drama, bound by industrial clattering, dancing hypnotic rhythms, eerie smokey cinematic ambience and mysterious intoxicating female vocals.

A memory about being unable to bear the pain of existence, the track sets taut pounding kick drums and ominous droning bass oscillations to inject a thick air of impending menace into haunted suffering vocals, switching from detached to anxious whilst tightly wound with industrial, knocking clatters and dramatic glaring synth flows, to march epically, in order to survive, into a beautiful nightmare of oblivion.
Sara Inglês casts a red light, sort of murky night vision filter with pulsing lyrics over a soul-stirring story to explain the dire emotions of the soundtrack. A storm brews on the horizon, a portal opens, clouds of destruction billow and a blood moon eclipse takes hold. We see someone, blind in the darkness of a cave, struggling to feel their way out. Shuffled into the crisis are images of symbolic crystals, cosmic skies, and a shadowy performance by NECRØ, leading into a light at the end of the tunnel experience.
NECRØ ‘s new single, “Into Oblivion”, is due out tomorrow, Friday, July 12 2024 via Cold Transmission Music.
