HUIR, the Barcelona, Spain-based Dark Synth duo made of Ana Of The Head (Vocals, Synth) and David Solazo (guitar, drums), returns with a premiere of the Official Music Video, directed by Alex Francitorra at Groove Sabadell, for “You”, the second excerpt, taken from the forthcoming debut studio album “States of Light”, as usual expertly produced, mixed and mastered by Maurizio Baggio at La Distilleria, scheduled for release on May 1, 2026, via the independent German label Cold Transmission Music.

Unlike the sinister Darkwave aesthetic of their previous single, “Storm,” the two-piece explores cold Synth-Pop patterns, built on minimalist, repetitive, chiming synth chords combined with a distinctive, emotional, effect-filled guitar work, by conjuring a profound, timeless melancholy, as if to confront and soothe one’s own inner demons, enveloping them in compelling sad melodies.

“YOU” is an intense and visceral exploration of inner struggle and personal healing. With an immersive atmosphere and lyrics charged with determination and power, the song moves through silence, confronts the wounds that shape us, and transforms vulnerability into strength. In the song, we delve into the emotional complexity of the self, navigating between coldness and passion to create a sonic space where healing becomes an act of defiance and affirmation.”

A softly swaying moody, introspective exploration compels mechanical punchy snare beats, and chugging bass lines to ceaselessly bounce alongside icy tinkly synth stabs, pierced by insistent, sparkling guitars, to rise around with plaintive and bleating distorted intensity, while carrying sad, brooding female vocals through sweeps of restless longing, distant ethereal radiance, and shadowy echoes.

The presence of artists we deeply admire turns the video into a space of collective expression, where strength, identity, and resistance are manifested through movement.

In the Official Music Video, directed by Alex Francitorra at Groove Sabadell, HUIR, reminiscing on The X-Files’ “noir” mystifying ambience, walks through dark passageways with flashlights in search of self. The duo sits in front of a television set and watches beloved artists such as Anne Marie (SIIE), Emma (EMMON), Gözde (AUX ANIMAUX), Masha (DLINA VOLNY), Sarah (CARRELLEE), Sharon Shy (R.MISSING), and Tina (NIGHT IN ATHENS), interpret “You” through movement, bringing forth a physical and emotional dimension. Then, Ana transports herself behind the screen to sing under a beautiful snowfall and inverted lighting before returning to David through an unlit tunnel.

After finishing the year on a high note in the familiar Barcelona location of the Ombra Festival, the pair continue their streak of live shows in various Festivals around Europe, with multiple dates in Germany, plus Hungary, Switzerland and Barcelona again:
