WL//WH Premiere  DAMAGE CLOCK  DYSTATIK

People flooding the streets across Colombia have faced brutal crackdowns from police, fueling demonstrators ʼrage and adding police brutality to their list of grievances. Human rights groups have alleged abuses such as indiscriminate beatings, killings, and sexual violence. The police brutality in the country has documented cases of police violence, as well as deaths it said were caused by police. This is the Critical Country

Greek DIY label, DYSTATIK, runs by Athenian DJ/producer dry_feel, is back with a bouncing and high-energy EP, Critical Country”, from Bogotà-based artist and founder of DClock Records, Jesús David Restrepo, AKA Damaged Clock, a stalwart of the Colombian dark and experimental electronic scene with a heady and gripping mix of Electro /Techno /Industrial and EBM.

WL//WH is pleased to premiere the turbulent and seething remix of “Mr Robot” by label boss dry_feel, adding further tight punch and dramatic heft to the clattering acid-flecked electro meets techno meets EBM of the original cut.

Ominous warbling and undulating bassline treachery and disintegrating filtered robotic vocals forge new pathways of acidic menace and decay through an overwhelming swarm of high pitched swirling synth swathes, eliciting eerie wandering piercing hypnosis, while stacked marching, lashing beats and distant spinning arabesque glows, build tension and anticipation through the transfixing buzzing and blazing stratosphere, enhancing neurotic obsessive tendencies throughout a dark, intoxicating setting of chilling magnetic fear.

Damaged Clock‘s upcoming EP, Critical Country”, featuring 4 original tracks & 3 remixes from Invalid User, Magnum Opus and dry_feel, is slated for release, ltd. Cassette Tape edition & Digital format, on September 1st, via the DYSTATIK Label Bandcamp.

Keep up with Damaged Clock / Dystatik:
