WL//WH Premiere: ALIX VAN RIPATO Unleashes the Inner Demon in “DIE”

To celebrate a year since the release of Alix Van Ripato‘s debut full-length LP, “Red Spells”, via Belgian Independent label Red Maze Records,  WL//WH is pleased to welcome again the Brussels-based Electronic / Darkwave DJ and Producer for the premiere of the new Music Video by Erik Lafontaine and Antoine DBF, shot in the Foret Malone near Namur (Belgium), for the fiery metaphysical break-up song “DIE”, which completes the LP’s mood.

A cold, misty, supernatural dancefloor spellbinder, “DIE” ignites a sinister doom-laden drone buzz through a simmering sentimental expansion of low pounding beats, rattling tinny echoes, dry snapping obsessions, and warm morphing synth swathes to surround numb spoken word incantations and bewitching whimsical cries with the fury and passion of a stormy break-up momentum.

Cinematic visuals by Erik Lafontaine and Antoine DBF star Alix Van Ripato in a pagan protection ceremony set within the magnificently haunting Forest Malone, to sync seamlessly with the heartbroken moods of the soundtrack. Dramatic wardrobe, symbolic poses, and on-point emotional expressions stir the soul with empathy and sorrow whilst ominous red light portals, shapeshifting shadows, and a ritual candle-lit circle harness the energy of ancestors to heal painful trauma with a cathartic flow of protection and support.

Alix Van Ripato‘s debut mini-album, “Red Spells“, is available, on Limited Edition Tapes & 12” Vinyl, through AVR & Red Maze Records‘ Bandcamp.
