WL//WH Premiere ALEX GORDIY Connectome Records
Ukrainian experienced, eclectic electronic producer Alex Gordiy, who recently delved into Electro, Breakbeat, Acid, and Deep Techno sound territories, is going to release a digital EP, “Broken Circuit,” due out on May 17, 2025, via fellow Ukrainian label Connectome Records, whose second track, “Init Preset,” WL//WH is pleased to premiere.
“Broken Circuit” captures an important moment in Alex Gordiy’s artistic journey. Created in 2024, these tracks represent the final pieces of his work in the electro genre during that era. After holding onto them for some time, Alex now brings them to the audience, closing one chapter while opening another. The EP pulses with raw energy and emotion, offering a powerful farewell to a defining creative period.
The transformative icy electro cut “Init Preset” dives into the pressurized spectral underwater of alienating murky shadows, to pierce through the looming haze with minimal slapping beats, scattered kicks, and droning, wobbling bass loops, encircled by ominous obsessive synth flares, and chilly robotic baritone vocal clips, bringing forth a futuristic and uncanny frigid vibe.
