New Music Vera Gloom
Although we highlighted Vera Gloom‘s debut single, “Hollow Mind”, via Mother Solitude Records, by the young Goth/Dark Wave singer and songwriter from San Marco, Texas, upon its release, we are late with the following DIY video clip, unfortunately, last week we struggled with technical wi-fi issues, so why put it in the trash? She’s my fellow Texan too!
“A song about losing yourself to your dark side after experiencing difficult events. Instead of focusing on vengeance or hurting others, I took this perfect opportunity to express my feelings through some form of art, it’s very cathartic. I hope you enjoy my way of expressing my pain 🙂”
Under the wise guidance and co-production of Adriano Iacoangeli of Echoberyl and Fluid Ghost fame, the passionately dark, somberly emotional and highly danceable “Hollow Mind” unleashes driving drum programming, throbbing rumbling bass lines and swirling bright synths to flash atop gloomy, and penetratingly hypnotic vocals, radiating haunted melancholy through baleful shadows of drama.
The Official Video, a concept of Vera Gloom herself, uses clips filmed by Samantha B. Williams from two different countries and is edited by fellow producer Adriano Iacoangeli (Fluid Ghost). Like a Gothic bride with a black rose bouquet, Vera Gloom haunts the dim nocturnal stairwells of Texas and France. She seems lost and wanders under the dense haze of a distorted headspace, then spins hopelessly into the utter darkness of a graveyard where a symbolic catharsis takes hold.
Keep up with Vera Gloom:
