New Music THE NIGHT OFFICE
Born in 2020 with the aim to add some flair to the dark side of the dancefloor, Tampa, Florida based Cold Wave / Synth Wave act The Night Office has delivered a cyberpunk fantasy video for his latest atmospheric single “Street Lights.”
A gritty retro-futuristic sound invokes the anonymous dissociative vibes of a metropolis by fusing buzzing and jiggly echoing bass tones, distant marching beats, and urgent rousing synth melodies into trembling and strobing visions around distorted, emotionless spoken word vocals, triggering cold, dangerous moods from reckless, playful abandon.
Symbolic visuals invoke the lyrical struggle between good and evil by following an ethereal alien on surreal adventure through an urban sprawl filled with temptation, illusion, and ego-driven lust. Neon fused shadows loom modern dystopic hues over a series of street-wear clad vixens whose glittery make-up, edgy fashion, and provocative poses suggest romantic rendezvous of uninhibited desire whilst a detached archetypical queen figure watches stoically from above waiting to see the outcome.
