WL//WH NEW MUSIC: THE LANGUAGE OF MY LOVE “Fireworks”

NEW MUSIC  THE LANGUAGE OF MY LOVE

The Language of My Love, the Vienna-based ‘Motorik Maximal Wave’ project of Philadelphia-native electronic musician Mammoths Nests and the singer, lyricist Phillippo, returns to WL//WH with the DIY visuals for the latest single, released in mid-May, “Fireworks”.

Lyric-wise, “Fireworks” deals with the different stages of heart connections that range from the lowly depths to the highest elevations.

Atmospheric vocalizations gently cycle from a soft, low gloomy tone to a high, graceful soar, haloed in mesmeric, unearthly glares, over a relentless hypnotic stream of motorik beats and hopping bass pulses, to chug along into an emotional abyss where sad and anxious glistening synth flows call and respond.

The DIY Official Video comes with instructions for the viewer to watch in a dark or shaded environment. It shows Phillippio singing “Fireworks” under a hazy, image laden veil while vintage movie clips from Ingmar Bergman’s 1953 “Summer with Monika” and Masahiro Shinoda’s 1974 “Himiko” bring forth the heartfelt sentiments of the soundtrack.
