Australian Minimal Dark Wave / Synth Noir act based in Newcastle/Sydney, Rubber Nurse AKA RBRNRSE drops an immersive DIY video for the sweltering and caustic track “Covered Up In Chrome”, taken from the new double A-side 7″ single “Latex Lucy | Covered Up In Chrome”, two anthems for an apocalyptic age, via 8th House Ghosts.
Covered Up In Chrome is filthy and raw synthetic rock’n’roll corrosion with a simmering punk edge, further marred by swirling and flashing lysergic bright synth stabs along with pulsing layers of droning and looping blinding distortions, amidst oscillating hypnotic low ends and syncopated tight rhythms, whilst haunted baritone vocals release fearful quivers, echoes, and moans from toxic memories to disintegrate desperately into a dark and intoxicating maelstrom of gloom.
Electric midnight blue seas dimly glisten against a starless nocturnal sky to illume disconnected, hopeless moods over a negative light guitar player performance. Morphing underlays pull universal symbols from a subconscious database whilst grey shadow self-project through a broken glass to alternate bipolar tones into a subversive stream of consciousness.
