Toxic Razor and Kriistal Ann, the Athens-based genre-bending, analog Synth-driven duo Paradox Obscur, deliver the third and final glimpse from the band’s anticipated sixth studio album “IKONA,” due out on September 12, 2025, via Metropolis Records with the Official Video by Simone Pellegrini for one of the band’s most haunting tracks, “Vulgar Sequence.”

Soundwise, the two pieces’ bold take on the grooves of ‘90s electro-techno is dark and lopsided as a light layer of snapping and hissing electrical currents hovers over the relentless drive of hypnotic wobbly bass lines atop which bitter, dominating female vocals resentfully confess into a menacing, sneaky synth-laden backdrop of resonant rattling off-kilter thwacks and moody squeaky echoes.

In the Official Video created by Simone Pellegrini, Serra Kösebay portrays a helpless woman who is being influenced by an unseen menace. The scene is dark, twisted, and strobing, like a mad scientist’s examination room. The victim is disoriented and lovingly caresses a TV screen with a dead stare before dancing provocatively in a white medical gown. After applying a cleansing solution to her eyes, she is able to see that she is being manipulated, like a puppet with no strings, by mind control. The clip ends as a tear drips down her cheek and shadow hands beckon from behind a scrim, syncing seamlessly with the psychological theme of the soundtrack.
Paradox Obscur‘s 6th full-length album, “IKONA”, will be released on September 12, 2025, in ltd. CD /Vinyl 12″ /Limited Edition & Digital formats via Metropolis Records.
