Konstant is Angelo Repetto and Nicolas Balmer, a new Swiss New Wave / Post Punk duo based in Zurich, who dropped an Official Video directed by Diego Hauenstein for “Feuer”, the first excerpt lifted from Konstant’s debut album “Unvoluntary Children”, scheduled for release on September 27, 2024, via Subject To Restrictions Discs and Default Mode Records.

“Feuer” is a song that burns with intensity and emotion. It speaks to the deep connection between two souls, the irresistible pull of attraction, and the fiery passion that can consume and transform. The lyrics, sung with raw emotion by Nicolas Balmer, resonate deeply, creating a powerful anthem for those who have ever felt the heat of true desire.

Dark, simmering, obsessively hypnotic Suicide-esque intensity meanders and throbs along hypnotic clattering motorik beats, churning basslines and dissonant discharges of wiry electro spasms, over which hovers a high-energy soulful vocal, releasing deeply anchored spoken word passion into a searing emergence of swirling visceral strains.

The Official Video directed by Diego Hauenstein and Ramón Königshausen syncs a live performance by Konstant with candid, behind-the-scenes venue clips to elicit the elated energy of the soundtrack. Cyrill Oberholzer edits using changing speeds and warm and cool lighting to elicit a surreal disassociative effect while also adding kaleidoscopic and reflective imagery to induce an effective live Psychedelic perception.

Konstant‘s debut album, “Unbändige Kinder”, is slated for release, in 2×12″ Vinyl & Digital formats, via Subject To Restrictions Discs and Default Mode Records, on September 27, 2024.
