WL//WH New Music: KILL SHELTER “The Necklace ft AGENT SIDE GRINDER” (Official Video)

WL//WH New Music KILL SHELTER ft AGENT SIDE GRINDER

Following the critically-acclaimed debut LP “Damage”, “The Necklace ft Agent Side Grinder” is the first leading track, accompanied by the Official Video by Jacob Frössén, from the upcoming sophomore album, Asylum”, by Kill Shelter, the solo project of UK Post-Punk / Darkwave musician, composer and producer Peter Burns.

Thundering music once again by the British act here collaborating with the acknowledged Swedish outfit Agent Side Grinder, in a song of high-octane Post-Punk music with the required sound and production aiming to the dancefloors very late at night and the first offering from an album that is going to shine in our libraries. Look what I found in the press kit; the new LP features collaborative contributions from Ronny Moorings (Clan of Xymox), Agent Side Grinder, Ash Code, Stefan Netschio (Beborn Beton), William Faith (The Bellwether Syndicate / Faith and the Muse), Valentina Veil (VV & the Void) and Antipole.

The new single with Agent Side Grinder is very reflective of the overall tone of the forthcoming album. All the tracks delve into different interpretations of the word asylum and highlight challenging themes such as human trafficking, domestic abuse, seeking refuge, disillusionment, bedlam, and redemption. It definitely has dark energy. Pete Burns AKA Kill Shelter
The Necklace’ is a metaphorical vehicle for building personal resilience when dealing with violence and abuse on a daily basis. We had a shared vision for both the song and the video and it is a collaboration in the truest sense of the word.Johan Lange of Agent Side Grinder

Let’s see what our sister in WL//WH, Catt Gillette, heard in this amazing song with her usual unique way of “auditing” the music

The dramatic black and white video, shot on location in Stockholm, Sweden by Jacob Frössén and in Edinburgh, Scotland, illustrates the haunting lyrical metaphor behind “The Necklace” where each act of abuse is represented by a seed, thus constructing a visual amulet from which to draw strength. An intense, heartfelt performance invokes feelings of tragedy and hope betwixt the tattered, worn, and stained textures of a necklace strewn together with the human fibre of resilience and justice, to heal traumatic memories, broken dreams, and festering wounds with the global support of a collective consciousness.

Kill Shelter‘s sophomore album, “Asylum”, is slated for release, on both limited edition Vinyl and Compact Disc along with all digital and streaming platforms, on July 15th, 2022, via both Metropolis Records in North and South America, and Manic Depression Records in Europe and the rest of the world.

Keep Up With Kill Shelter:
