Earlier in October, the Rhode Island multi-instrumentalist, chanteuse Jenn Vix published her latest 5 track Unlocked EP, an excellent record of really good new wave oriented music that includes some pretty attractive guests in : Danny Chavis of shoegaze pioneers The Veldt to present the ‘Into The Veldt Mix’ of Complicated Man, and two more quite achieved artists in the alternative realm, included in The Cure, Tin Machine and David Bowie and Iggy Pop‘s bands. Jenn Vix didn’t stop there as she also invited John Ashton, original guitarist of The Psychedelic Furs, who is featured in the track Unlocked. All these are quite enough to make you listen the EP, the outcome of which is polished with refined music, by a very strong team. On December 7, she let out the official video of Complicated Man (Into the Veldt Mix), this new version is trippy with psychedelic underpinnings and a very urban gazey vibe, where Danny Chavis re-envisions the song contributing guitar and other instrumentation. The accompanying video for this track was directed, produced and edited by Renan DeAraujo, a 27 year old, Brazilian filmmaker who loves to tell stories with light and rhythm.
