Echo of the Low Light is an independent collective of rotating Pacific Northwest artists creating music on the “experimental outer reaches of dream pop” reminiscent of Cigarettes After Sex and Still Corners, to craft an immersive, elegant, and highly evocative, equally cinematic and metaphysical sound universe, permeated by velvety and dreamy melodies that flow slinky, between lights and shadows, melting with pensive bittersweet emotions.
A little dancy, a little dark, the band’s latest single, “Disco”, certainly is not a Hi-NRG Italo banger as the title could suggest, but an intoxicating coalescing of steady hypnotic percussions, glistening guitar echoes, nuanced sleek funk riffs, sinuously round enticing bass pulses, and floating humming synth wraps, that leads us into ethereal and melancholic realms with calm yet aching seductive vocals, longing for lost love, whilst dancing smoothly the night away under the magnetic reflective sheen of a disco ball.
