Three years in the making, the long-awaited sophomore album, “Into the Wide”, by the experienced Aahrus-based, Danish 3-piece Catch the Breeze, comprising Aage Kinch (vocals, guitar), Andreas Bundgaard (drums), and Lars Madsen (bass), is finally a reality with its deft and invigorating mesmerizing combination of sparkling Shoegaze, introspective Dream-Pop and vibrant Indie-Rock, framed by an emotional-ridden profound baritone.
The LP was preceded by a DIY video release for the inspirational, entrancing single “Embrace”, graced by the contribution of guest musicians Kasper Staub (Lowly) on synth and Camilla Florentz (ONBC) on vocals.
The poetic lyrics draw from personal experiences to guide the listener toward a new perspective on life using a metaphorical lens of light and hope.
Tumultuous reverb-strewn feelings saturate shimmery distorted rousing guitar flutters, underpinned by hard-hitting drums and warm sinuously throbbing bass lines, to burst and surge in dim waves of hope around heartfelt vocal harmonies, layered by the piercing yet fragile female echoes, shedding ethereal angst into a tidal wave of incoming insight.
The inspirational video by Rasmus Bredvig, shot live during the recording of the album, captures the groovy energetic vibes of Catch the Breeze with Camilla Florentz whilst glistening reflective overlays and keen editing by Aage Kinch to invoke dreamy uplifting visions from the mind’s eye of modern dystopic blues.
Catch The Breeze‘s sophomore album, “Into the Wide”, is out now on Vinyl 12″ & Digital formats.
