Following last year’s brilliant self-titled 7-track debut EP, French Noise Rock / Grunge foursome Canicule have shared an immersive video, shot on-location in their hometown of Marseille, by Tom Chauvin for the nostalgic and energetic new single “Trauma Doll.”
Noisy blasting vibes of rambunctious and shredding guitar riffs carve charging adrenaline-fueled paths of caustic angst through chugging, buzzing bass lines and steady hard-hitting drum beats to carry relentless urgent shouts and high falling back-ups into a tumultuous surge of breathless rants, blistering frequencies, and hopeless past perceptions left shifting in the bittersweet sands of time.
Intimate and candid band shots build a captivating day in the life clip of Canicule. Skewed camera angles and engaging eye contact pull the viewer into a beachside performance with graffiti-strewn rocks and architectures transitioning with panoramic views, sunsets, and apartment dwellings to capture the boisterous and spunky moods of the invigorating soundtrack.
