WL//WH New Music: BLACK ROSE MOVES “Ghost Town” (Official Video)

New Music  Black Rose Moves

English Post Punk / Dark Wave act from Birmingham, Black Rose Moves, return with the Official Video for their sophomore single “Ghost Town”, via Earache Records.

The Brummie duo Grant Leon and Mark Neat describe the song as a haunting exploration of isolation and longing cloaked in a seductive dance-floor rhythm.

Ghost Town explores the desolate beauty of a world consumed by shadows, guided by urgent, haunted broods that glide darkly over a trudging murky flow of grinding bass lines and pounding marching beats, amid eerie echoing guitar strains and angsty meandering, buzzing synth pulses, illuminating the dank and decaying realm with an invitation to get lost in.

The atmospheric black and white visuals sync slow sweeping drone footage of run-down, abandoned buildings with the despair of the soundtrack. An old house with dusty checkerboard floors and tall cathedral windows sets the destination for a girl walking through a wild grass field, while we hear the bewitching chorus, “There’s a ghost town waiting for you.”
