Black Bouquet is six-piece band from Raleigh, North Carolina made up of Violet O (Lead vocals, Harmony vocals), Ian Jones (Bass Guitar), Hunter Corrin (Guitar, Acoustic guitar, 12-string guitar, Extra violin), Dan Irving (Synthesizers, Hammond organ, Chimes, Harmony vocals), Laura Mooney (5 string electric violin, Acoustic viola, Acoustic violin, Harmony vocals), and Michael Rumple (Drums, Percussion, Programming, Samples, Harmony vocals), has “developed a unique sound that fuses 80’s Goth, early 2000’s Indie Rock and the dynamic, baroque arrangements of modern Art Tock”.

Black Bouquet has dropped a DIY music video, by Ian Jones and Michael Rumble, for the first single, “Run and Hide”, taken from the the band’s forthcoming debut LP to be released on February 16, 2024

Nestled in soaring anthemic 2000s Indie Rock and flashy Art Rock orchestrations, “Run and Hide” is an all-encompassing immersion of conflicting emotional textures made up of a vast array of unexpected organic swirling hues and emotive glowing and sparkling synthetic melodies, a pulsating blend of urgent drumming, thrumming bass and sizzling emotive guitars carrying a powerful quivering and crying lead vocal, through an overwhelming tension of backup harmonies and swaying momentums, into the safety of the obscure night skies.

Psychological visuals by Ian Jones and Michael Rumple cloak Black Bouquet in the haunting sepia-tinged glow of an urban cityscape to sync seamlessly with the manic danger vibe of the soundtrack. Strategic editing, transformative lights and shadows and on-point performances pull the viewer into the fear and vulnerability of a romantic obsession where a traumatized soul is left feeling like there is nowhere to “Run and Hide.”
