WL//WH New Music PARIS ALEXANDER and EIRENE
WL//WH is pleased to welcome the long-time Brighton, UK-based Coldwave/Dark Wave collaborators, Paris Alexander and Eirene, back to the blog with a nostalgic video that syncs rare footage from the 1984 documentary “The Height of Goth” with the new club dance single “Blood Line.”
“The song is a mix of The XX and Faithless with layers of driving hooky trance synth lines and flowing, melancholic guitars intertwined over highly danceable and engaging dance beats while, atop all the music, Eirene’s distinctive sultry emotional vocals reflect on the circle of life. An up-tempo, brooding, synth wave dance track where Pop meets Dark Wave for 2024.”
Eirene’s dreamy sensual yet urgent breathless vocals embrace the bittersweet mysteries of life and death as hypnotic bass lines drive through a soft swirling environ of dull immersive glows and steady marching beats where a blend of hot piercing guitar obsessions and angsty entrancing synth melodies penetrate the grey misty realm with warm vibrant tones.
Accompanied visuals for “Blood Line” sync rare footage from the 1984 film “The Height of Goth”, filmed on location at A Night At The Xclusiv Nightclub in Batley, Yorkshire UK at the request of the club managers Annie & Pete Swallow, with the mood of the soundtrack. Time travel back to the 80s when all night dancing under strobing neon lights with a lot of hair spray, energy, and creative fashion was the highlight of the week.
Keep up with Paris Alexander:
