Unearthed yesterday evening by the greatest Greek music digger around, Grandeur is a “two-piece post-punk from betwixt the shadow of NYC and the haunted shores of New England“. A 5-track cassette should have been released in 2016, according the few infos revealed on their Instagram profile.
“Hearts Stand Still” reveals a punchy and quite edgy drive along a distinctive, darkened and noisey take on modern-day post-punk that amazingly merges with the scratchy, emotional and groovy Psychedelic Furs’ Bernard Butler-like vocals; the energetic pace, the vibrant and piercing razor-sharp guitar lines, the penetrating intensity and melodic immediacity defined an fierce, heartfelt and exciting new band to keep a close eye on.
