Berlin-based Danish–Canadian musician Sally Dige has just released the visuals of “Sail to Me”, the fourth video from her sophomore album “Holding On”, a split release between Avant! Records and DKA Records.
Written and directed as usual in fully DIY spirit, with the assistance of her fellow Swedish artist Sanne de Neige, it shows a woman drowning in tedium of scorned lover, trying as she can, through sorrow and despair, even anger, to salvage the relationship, she dreams and waits for him to sail back to her to give her life again.
Last year full length was a further confirmation of Sally’s distinctive artistic talent in the current electronic dark-synth scene : just one synth and her voice, 80s synthpop meets new wave, captivating, intense and emotional, refined by darkly introspective lyrics, easily seduces and makes you dance endlessly.
“Holding On” has just been released on ‘SpiderChild chrome cassette’ (limited edition of 250) included a beautiful 8 panel photo foldout w/ full lyrics on the back & a set of Sally pins via the excellent Austin‘s tape label SpiderChild Records (order here)
Digital/Vinyl/CD versions are available at Sally Dige’s Bandcamp included the DKA Records‘ new reissue now on white vinyl.
Keep up with Sally Dige :
