What could happen when one of your favourite band of the 80’s meets one of your current favourite one?
In the early 80’s, pretty much a spotty teenager, I was lucky to see the most shockingly innovative, enticing and out of this world, but it’s impossible to find a proper adjective, I’d seen in my life : 1981 Siouxsie and the Banshees and the year later Tuxedo Moon, both at Teatro Nuovo of Turin.
I’m more than glad that such a classic dissonant and angsty invaluable otherworldly mix of jittery guitars and experimental electronica undergoes the proficient dark minimal-electro treatment by Greek duo of Toxic Razor and Kriistal Ann, resulting in something deeply unsettling yet hypnotic with rumbling and menacing synths penetrating and resonating throughout, amazingly paired with the haunting black & white visuals. An absolutely excellent remix.
