The elusive indie lo-fi trio from Kolkata, India, NILEIN, after delighting us with a handful of amazing songs in 2017, return in the new year with a new single backed by a video with clips taken from the Japanese animated romantic drama ‘5 Centimeters Per Second’ produced, written and directed by Makoto Shinkai.
“Central Park”, along with its semi-acoustic ecstatic slow pace, intertwined with whispering vocals, briefly upsets by an electric interlude, is immersive, melancholic and touching, ethereal and earthy at the same time; music to which you lose yourself every time as if it was the first, dazed in the mind and soothed in the soul.
