Formed in February of 2016, Viennese all-girl garage surf-pop trio, comprised of Dora De Goederen, Tamara Leichtfried and Viktoria Kirner, last year recorded and released their self-titled mini album with the help of Austrian musician and producer Wolfgang Möstl (Mile Me Deaf, Sex Jams, Clara Luzia, Melt Downer) through Vienna‘s DIY label Siluh Records.
Powerful, hard-hitting, take-no-prisoners DIVES are back with a brand new video for their new single “Waiting”. Shot by L.A. based filmmaker Kevin Pham in the style of a late 60’s to early 70’s TV show episode, it gives a different perspective to the angst, hardship, and tribulations of a girl in the midst of relationship blues. Constantly waiting on her boyfriend to arrive (or even show up), she runs through a list of missed opportunities and realizes waiting is not the best solution.
Driving pounding drums, throbbing bass lines, and catchy melodies, powered by layers of garagey rocking guitar strums, give rise to bored, tired, frustrated vocals featuring different members of the band as a perfect crescendo of, melancholy, impatience, and tedium is reached when all three combine.
