Since her early inception in 2020, the Essen, Germany based Musician, Producer, Singer & Songwriter Diar Storm has accomplished a consistent and tantalizing string of atmospheric Dark Electronic material to get lost in.
Her recent single/video, “So Deep” keeps the classic 80s flair of the previous songs, while sharing an intimate confession about processing an illness.
“So Deep” is the pain lying inside the mortal struggle of an emerging survivor spirit that guides sprinkling bursts of nostalgic icy-bright synth lights through a sullen, nocturnal landscape of hypnotic marching beats and rumbling undulating bass lines. Small twinkles of hope spark a beautifully tragic vocal layering with strength, emotion, and passion, allowing glowing mists from translucent dreams to heal. The track invisibly builds momentum over time to break the expected boundaries of impending doom with a shapeshifting cycle of brighter, more uplifting moods.
Thoughtful contrast heavy DIY visuals layer torn fragments of handwritten lyrics with a stunning heartfelt performance to invoke both the symbolic and the physical conflicts buried “So Deep” within a burdened soul while hypnotic keyboard transitions keep the flow of motion moving forward, magically in sync with the catharsis of the soundtrack.
Right in these days the artist has shared the brand new single, “Twisted Game”, featuring, as in a return to her early days, a dark emotional-ridden lovelorn duet with German Vinyl DJ, Remixer and futuristic sound Producer Lost Boy 1984. Check it out!
