Three-piece Dark Electronic all-girl band from Ireland, Everything Shook, made of Robyn Bromfield, Jessica Kennedy, and Aine Stapleton, blend death and ecstasy into their latest single “Three Crows”, whilst the accompanying DIY music video creates a hallucinatory fantasy imbued with a rousing atmosphere of pathos and dread, a tease before the 2023 release of their anticipated sophomore album.
Dark mercurial fantasies ignite insistent burbling bassline pulses, hypnotic icy bright somber synth melodies, and tinny martial skipping beats, cast in hollow echoes into a misty disenchanted dream, where a bewitching vocal layering unfolds between frozen haughty musings, sensual breathes, high celestial cries, and hypnotic repetitious chants to vexingly swirl through a wiry tunnel of haunted, angsty love.
Frenetic black and white visuals, by Robyn Bromfield herself, build supernatural perceptions cast in evocative symbols and timeless psychic themes to extract sleeping Halloween moods from the mind’s eye of superstition. Negative light photography, spooky time-lapsed editing, and glitchy dance sequences open shadowy visions into a ghost-like timeline of witchy attire, optical illusions, and hypnotic overlays, seamlessly syncing with the magical twilight airs of the soundtrack.
