Weekly Shoegaze / Dreampop / Psychedelic / Indie Tips – JUNE/JULY #27-22
PICKS OF THE WEEK:

First single from the upcoming second LP by the sparkling guitar tangled solo project of Damjan Manevski. A sad poignant array of eternally meandering crystalline jangly guitar melodies and stirring violin strings, fuel obsessive prickling anxieties, whilst gently dancing in harmony with hopeful vocals, shaded with pensive melancholy, to release painful memories into a cathartic poem about beauty, sorrow, and heritage.
- Chicago, IL bedroom /dream pop singer-songwriter Ghost Days “See You In Between” from the upcoming cassette album “Swans Cry”
Suave and introspective, sneakingly disturbing, melancholic dream-pop first single from the upcoming full-length by Chicago-based singer-songwriter that wobbles its way amid syncopated rhythms, shimmering strumming riffs and rambling guitar lines laced with insistent glistening sun-dazzled melodies to instil subtly unnerving dreamlike moods enveloping soft hypnotic vocals falling through intoxicating ripples of helpless uncertainty whilst floating and longing in lost, lovelorn desires.
- London, UK bedroom /dream pop /shoegaze duo WHITELANDS “How It Feels” new single
West London atmospheric, immersive and thought-provoking shoegazing duo took their time, but it was worth it, to return with their most compelling single so far, striking a fine balance between trudging beats, stirring warm bass pulses, sparkling and ethereal layers of elated reverberated guitar distortions and sky-scraping dazzling incantations, swaying and swelling into an agony and ecstasy of romantic dreams veiling heartfelt, and restless vocals, caressed by high celestial cries, to fall helpless into the shining eyes of another’s love.
