- New York/Paris new gothic/ethereal/dream pop/darkwave project founded by Ein Rijin of Evil Symbols and Bat Kalaayan (lead singer), aka RITUEL ENCENS “Mystery”
New fascinating French/American project gives us sublime ethereal and arcane electronic atmospheres full of mystery and intrigue, as subtly menacing and superbly obscure, as truly timeless, delving into magical mesmeric territories dear to early Dead Can Dance. For those goth at heart.
- Geneva, Switzerland based electronic/EBM/synthpop/minimal synth project by Waving Hands founder Laurène Exposito aka EYE – ”Luscinia” from the forthcoming sophomore album “Metamujer” on Knekelhuis
We’re far fonder over here of the minimal wave project of the lovely synthesist Laurène Exposito, aka EYE relentlessly weaving, with grace and artistry, melodic patterns and rhythms pulses over alluring aloof vocals, through the use of various analogue synthesizers. The announced addition of EBM and synth-pop flavors paired with some Italian singing provide even further ‘thrills and spills’. After De Ambassade LP another exciting release for the always imaginative Knekelhuis label.

Like Fornicata, the German-based project of Michael Smith would deserve more attention, last outing is melodic, melancholic and atmospheric shadowy ‘postwave’ elegy versus an increasingly ‘colder world’, through clear dramatic synth swirls and 80s-infused searing dismal guitar needlings, a perfect companion for the rapidly shortening and darkening brisk yet melancholic days of autumn.
